Task 1 - Top 10 Charts Activity!
Individually, you will need to look up 5 top 10 charts from the 1960's-1980's and highlight how many artists of the songs are American. You must look up 5 countries top 10 charts from any selected year. 3 of the countries must be America, Australia and England. The other two countries can be any 2 of your choice. You must then input this date into a table. You should be using the table generator in Microsoft Word or Excel. Yours should follow a similar layout to the below:
Source Alert! You have now successfully created your own source to investigate the role of America as a world super power and how it's soft power influences a variety of industries! Once you've got your charts compared, provide an evaluative comment (150 words) outlining the usefulness of your chart comparison as a source for investigating soft power.
Reminder! When evaluating sources and their usefulness, you will need to look at the: - Date created - Author/ Source - The context - what else was happening at the time? - Reliability of the source - Is it a primary or secondary source? |
